Winter Cricket Tour To Darwin 2011

Elite Cricket is seeking expressions of interest from cricketers who wish to be considered for selection for an Under 16 winter tour to Darwin, Northern Territory in the July School Holidays. Players who are interested should forward an email including a brief cricket resume to admin@elitecricket.com.au

The aim of the tour is to expose talented junior cricketers to a range of different opposition and conditions as well as providing the enriching experience – socially and culturally – of being part of a cricket tour. It is also an excellent opportunity to play in the winter months.

In 2010 the Elite Cricket XI were tournament champions!

Tour Dates:

  • Sunday, July 3 2011 to Saturday July 9 2011

Carnival Format:

  • A mix of Twenty20 (T20) and Fifty over cricket will be played.

Age Requirements:

  • 15 years and under (as at 31st August 2011) which makes those who can play Green Shield in 2011/12 eligible

To date Mark has amassed extensive professional experience as an elite player with the Tasmanian, the Prime Ministers XI, Australian XI and Australia ‘A’ teams and an array of clubs in the United Kingdom and New South Wales. Mark’s elite level cricket experience is complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in physical education, which has enabled him to apply his knowledge of bio mechanics, skill acquisition, sport psychology and learning methodologies to his own career as a professional player and coach. His coaching credentials and expertise have been further enhanced through the attainment of his Level 3 cricket coaching accreditation from Cricket Australia. Mark has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, from Southern Cross University, Australia.
