School Holiday Programs are cricket coaching events that offer an enjoyable and challenging program of both individual and group skill development cricket activities and match play for players aged 7 -12.

Our talented and experienced coaches work under the guidance of Elite Cricket founder and former Australian XI and Australia ‘A’ representative Mark Atkinson (Level 3 Coach).

Players will participate in a program of enjoyable, yet challenging age and skill appropriate development activities including:

  • Attacking and defensive batting
  • Pace, swing and spin bowling
  • Short catching and out-fieldin
  • Wicket-keeping
  • Modified games including Kanga pairs, Super 8’s, diamond cricket, centre wicket and net scenarios
  • Sessions on strategy, tactics and performance
  • Coaching ratio of 1 to 8
  • Players will receive tuition in the innovative and proven Elite Cricket method, techniques and principles.

Shore Sports Fields, Northbridge – 12th, 13th and 14th January 2011

Drummoyne Oval, Drummoyne – 13th and 14th January 2011

Lindfield Oval, Tryon Rd – 17th, 18th and 19th January 2011

Woollahra Oval, Woollahra – 19th, 20th and 21st January 2011

St. Ignatius College, Riverview – 20th and 21st January 2011

The program runs 9am-3pm.

To date Mark has amassed extensive professional experience as an elite player with the Tasmanian, the Prime Ministers XI, Australian XI and Australia ‘A’ teams and an array of clubs in the United Kingdom and New South Wales. Mark’s elite level cricket experience is complemented by a Bachelor’s degree in physical education, which has enabled him to apply his knowledge of bio mechanics, skill acquisition, sport psychology and learning methodologies to his own career as a professional player and coach. His coaching credentials and expertise have been further enhanced through the attainment of his Level 3 cricket coaching accreditation from Cricket Australia. Mark has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, from Southern Cross University, Australia.
